is this possible

ok im modding my bass right now and im in the stage of almost putting in new eletronics. Is it possible to replace all of the knobs with switches cause i either have a knob all the way up or down. If i do can i just buy 4 of them or should they be labeled tone voulum and etc..

Hi, I'm a noob myself. If I know as much as I think, you could use just switches for the volumes but you need pots with capacitors to change the tones and I'm pretty sure you might vary the volume if you changed to other amps. Maybe this discussion will draw in someone who knows more.

What you could do is instead of having tone or volume controls, wire it with each pickup having an on off switch.
