Personal preference for bluesrock bass: two 10's or one 15? 100 watts.

My personal preference is as follows:
One 15
or 2 twelves

2 tens is lacking...4 tens is optimal

Thanks! I'm sort of leaning toward the 15" and 100 watts. Love the thump.

4 x 12" + 1 x 18" = BIG FUN

I prefer the thump of a 15 and if it has a horn, your highs will still come through. My favorite rig is a single Fender Bassman 100, 100 watts with 15 and horn. If I need more, I just line out to the PA.

If what you're doing is classic thump and roar, then a 15 is pretty much the definition of bass. A pair of 12's would also be darn nice.

However, you will get better note definition out of a 2x10 or 4x10. I just added a 4x10 because I got tired of not being able to separate the notes in the bass line in live recordings.
