Hey guys.
I've been playing bass for about 1 1/2 years and I don't know the different keys very well. (i.e Dorian, Ionian, etc.)
I've had a teacher lightly go over them but I need to know them better because I'm in a band and it'd help alot to know them well.
Could any of you explain them or give me a good link about them?
Thanks, you guys are great Very Happy

I have been playing bass for 28 years and I couldn't tell what a dorian or ionian scale is, so don't fret too much.

Here's a nice chart that shows key signatures for Jojo and modes for Rd

Here's a great site that explains a lot of jazz band stuff

i have realised that i kind of need to know some jazz theory stuff

my classical theory is pretty good, can name & read any key from the letter or number of flats/sharps/ stuff like that.
havent got the faintest about jazz though Sad
will have a look at that site later...
