My two eldest started in retail after school, seemed like a lot of grief for very little reward to me, glad they are both out of it now.
I hope you are quoting your skills here on your IT resume!! Mod extrordinaire!! _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |

Dude, I love that bass. I've been wanting one for like 2 years now. How does it play? And is it worth the money? _________________ My gear:

It plays quite well. It's not the greatest bass around, but it is pretty easy to play/fast. The Basswood is nice and light, but it actually isn't very neck-heavy. Despite the basswood, it sustains quite nicely as well, and the wood tone is nice and articulate, while still being rounded.
Tone wise, it's got a fair range with the P/J configuration, but it took a little tweaking of pickup height to balance the outputs. The pickups are decent, but not the greatest; I plan to swap them out at some point for some Seymour Duncan Vintage P and Hot J pickups. Stock, there's not quite enough bark out of the J nor quite enough thump from the P for my tastes. I also plan to install a BadassII for extra sustain (though it's already pretty good sustaining).
It took me a few years to finally get mine, but I got a pretty decent deal on it through eBay; after shipping and border taxes it came to about $730Cdn. It's a good quality and sexy instrument; I'm not certain I'd pay the sticker price for one (if they're still about $1000 like they were when I first encountered them), there are some higher quality instruments in that price range, but at about $700-800 it's a good deal. |
