i've been playing a regular accoustic electric guitar. and i like ernie ball strings. i saw that olp is a registered trade mark of ernie ball. so i was wondering if this guitar is any good. obviously...it is a bass guitar.

I have an OLP, and I must say it is an awesome starter electric bass. They sound very good for thier price (which I think is around 230.00 if I am not mistaken), and are very durable (have had a few unfortunate encounters with cieling fans >< ). In the beginning, having new strings, and cheap tuning knobs, it goes out of tune easily. Though, once you break it in, this problem goes away (at least, such was my case). Now, I think they come with EB strings, but I am not sure...(I forgot to ask on mine.)
I think the only problem I have seen is that the action varies too much from guitar to guitar, so make sure you like the action, or you may need a guitar tech to adjust it if you don't know how to do it yourself. Also, make sure you keep the nut around your plug in nice and tight, mine came loose and I almost lost the jack inside the bass. So, be careful about that.
Other than that, I don't know what else to say. If you have any questions, Ill answer them If I can.
Later Days Bass Dog.

I have had 4 string and 5 string versions of these. they are cheap and do no sound as good as an EBMM. I wasted a lot of money in these until i got me a real bass. Sad
