i haven't played a rockbass corvette bass but the Warwick version is awesome!! i own a 5 string corvette and love it!....play on the Warwick and the Rockbass versions and you might want to save the extra money for the Warwick.

if your willing to sacrifice the timber and the hardware quality
the sounds or so similar to the real deal
i considered rock bass, but for the same price found a fna jazzman
second hand, its worth checking the second hand market if you have time
which youll need heaps i reckon, rock bass is always there to fall back on

The main difference between the two are the wood. A dealer sat down with me and we looked at his book and compared the differences the main one is the wood. I beleive the bridge and the nut are different. I think that is is it, I guess the electronics are the same the finger boards are the same.

Ive played both versions of the corvette, warwick and rockbass, in a music shop and I own the rockbass version and they are pretty much the same however you dont get the fine wood that the original warwick corvette is made of.

hi i have the corvette by warwick, they both are well made, but the wood is a big difference,as it the bridge, this means that the warwick version will sustain longer, i am sure the pickups are not the same either.

I have the bubinga one and its really really heavy for the body size , you can get swamp ash which is lighter in colour and kgs too. Not sure what the rock bass is made of.
The warwick versions neck is again bubinga with bubinga fretboard, this you wont have on the rock bass or the bell brass frets which are really strong.

I have several Warwicks and I have had Rockbasses. RBs have the same elecs and specs as the regular Warwicks and a heck of a deal for the price.

Yes the woods are different and as a consequence the sound is different. I would rather have a Rockbass over any Fenders.

my 2 cents.

also the RB will have a 1 piece bridge where the regular Warwick will have a 2 piece bridge and for the woods the RB will eb lighter than the Warwick. still made with Warwick's quality and name at a lower price.
