Yup, I have one of the limited DOA Hardtail 5 sting basses. What a beauty and great action and sound. Worth every penny spent.

I just picked up a Dean Sledge Hammer 5 string bass off of e-bay. What a tone monster they are. Just as it arrived. I have since cleaned it up and gave it a coat of Dr. Duck's AxeWax.

Yeah, I have a Performance. I got it used but I love the sound. Even more so after I sanded down the action and put in flat wound strings. _________________ Bass Guitars:

I have had Dean Edge Q4's and 5s in the past (over 3 of them), I also had a Edge Rhapsody Q5 and a Q4 they had better elecs than the Edges but for some reason Deans discontinued their production.
I then tried a Warwick Fortress bass and have replaced all my Deans for Warwicks.
I like the quilted tops on Deans and the abalone but the elecs and the wood quality is noit there... do not get me wrong you get a good deal for the price of them but unfortunately not enough to keep them around for long.
I also had a Dean Edge Q6 for 5 days that i could not stand the action and extra wide fretboard so i traded it in.
how can i add pics? |

I do not like Sledge Hammers because they are cheap copies of warwick's Thumb models. |
