I am considering selling my 1978 Ampeg SVT head. I am the original owner and it is in near mint condition.
I was hoping this board could give me some idea of its value or a likely price range?

Hmm its a bit quiet round here at the moment, but there a coupla guys that use em. SIt tight and keep yer fingers crossed... Oh and welcome BTW!

easily 1000.00 US, even more for a very clean one. not cheap, but worth every penny. Ive been looking for one in good shape, let me know if youd like to sell it reasonably!

| Thanks for the input. FYI I am located in Toronto, Canada. I mention this only because the shipping charges on a 90lb head are outrageous, so I intend to keep it a local sale (pick up) if possible. |

| Do a search on Ebay looking at the completed auction listings. That will give you a decent idea of the value. |

Hey David!
Your '78... does it show "Magnavox" on the back plate, another name or no name at all?
If it is a "Magnavox" chassis $1500 to $1800 US buckroos, would not be outlandish, if it is as clean as you identify.
How old are your power tubes, when was the last time it was serviced, re-bias and all the stuff ? All this will play into consideration, plus the cost of shipping that heavy as a boat anchor Head. Ah, but is there anything better for sound than an SVT?
