Define a good player.... He writes some nice bass lines, he plays tight, he has certainly proved that less can be more (Walking on the Moon anybody?)

| good being that he knows theory and has had some type of impact as a bass player like some of the greats like Marcus Miller, Victor Bailey etc. I don't know much of his music so I'll check it out. I'm just wondering. |

He was a jazz teacher before he started the Police. He's very talented bassist, to be able to sing and play the way he does, he's definitely God gifted.  |
