They call me Turbo but my name is Chris.p I am a total virgin when it comes to personally playing music. I'm pretty wicked with a cd player! For New Years I decided the one thing I have all my life wanted to do was learn to play bass guitar. Mighta had a little too much to drink or something else. So....what does dear hubby go and do? He buys me a Squire! Alrighty then.....opened my big mouth here so now I gotta learn how to play the darn thing. Actually I have managed to learn 4 songs and doing ok! But that little machine sits over there and taunts me. Surely I gotta be smarter than a bass guitar! Not quite sure yet, but we'll see how it goes. I'm pretty ok with a challenge even if it does come from an inanimate object that stares at me just daring me to pick it up.

Husband is a drummer so we've always got music going on in the house. Other interests.....I ride a Harley Softail Deluxe. So this is me in a nutshell. Some may even say I am the nut in the nutshell, but that's ok too! We all gotta be real in our own way!

welcome, I hope we can help you with your quest, just treat it like an addiction and take it one day at a time. Remember the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Smile

Thanx.....I try to learn from husband's practice techniques. He practices on something until he achieves "perfection" or pretty close to it. So I try. Haven't learned to play with a strap standing up yet. That darn strap changed everything. And now I gotta stand up? Oh Boy!!!! Rolling Eyes I want to be able to learn to read music but I don't even know where to begin to do that....being a foriegn language and all. So I plod on. I try to learn one new thing everyday.
