Hi, I'm Katie, or just Kate if ya want. I started bass only a year or 2 ago, but I love it to death, it's such a fun instrument. I began playing self taught (y'know getting a lesson book and all that) because my parents could not afford getting me lessons. Until now, I've been collecting money for a while and just started up some lessons.I'm not half bass actually, just need some guidance Smile
Anyway I've also been playing the cello for about 6 years now(can't believe it)One day though I became interested in bass(love the low sound) and my dad bought me a decent Stagg for Christmas, it was nothing fancy but I still love it today as it gave me something to start out on. One thing I can say is I love the four strings because they are so much like a cello to me, and they're both in bass clef really so ...
Yeah I'm rambling, sorry. Um other info I love to draw, and do various other recreational things. I have 2 dogs, 2 birds and some fish annnd some of my fav. bands are The Beatles, The Shins, Rolling Stones,
And I love most late 50's 60's rock n roll (yeah I'm that weird)

That's it Razz

Welcome Katie, my niece is named Katie, we will try to offer any advice that you need, but I would think the person here that you REALLY need to talk to is CQ she has a very similar experience as yours and, if she has time(you will understand what I mean if you read her threads) she is best suited, I believe, to help you with your questions.
BTW CQ stands for Confused Queen. #Big smile
