This amp with a 215 cabinet makes a lot of noise. The key to it is equalization. It seems to impart a neutral, flat, non-biased tone your instruments. Have never been a tube man-(tubes are a style of socks). Transistors work well for me. They also have their own sonic quality just like a Yamaha BB3000 bass versus a Steinberger.. . . . you get the picture.

*note to the wise: Stay away from 18" woofers in folded horns X 300 watts in. It will make you not recognise your grandkids calling you 'cause you are what?
