Best strings for slapping/ funk

Hi guys,

Are the light strings the best for playing funk/ slapping? Which brand name would you suggest?

I would think that medium to heavy strings would be best for slapping.

I'd suggest trying every brand you can until you hit upon the one you personally enjoy the sound and feel of so much that it makes you want to play more.
