For years I wanted a Fender and as I was on a holiday in New York I thought it would be great to get the reall Mac coy in the states,so I thought id get a sunburst and take the scratch plate off like Jaco's I found a sunburst that played nice and bought it.
When I got back to the UK and took the scratch plate off to my horror i noticed there's a hole under the scatch plate *What the Heck*
Is this a hole to clamp the body down while the pick ups are routed out or a deliberate ploy to stop people taking the plate off and making it look like Jaco's bass as Fender have two Bassess avalible like Jaco's the tribute and the relic Bass.
I think fender have made the hole in the body for both reasons for mass production and to sell the Jaco at double the price.
For years I believed American fenders are the Best not anymore unless they are made before 1976 I was dissapionted |

It would be interesting to hear from other Fender owners, do they ALL do this? MIM's and Korean ones? I'm gonna go check my Squier now! _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |
