It has an excellent sound and nice low action but it is very heavy it's my number one bass and if I were to go audition for a band or something I would not take any chances with some thing else and take this because I can get any sound out of it.

i agree I ordered mine new in 79 and still is my number one bass. The only thing it can't do is a really warm vintage sound like I get out of my Les Paul Standard bass, which is my number 2 bass
