i was looking into buying my first rig
currently i use a crate pa head plugged into my stereo through a boss me-50 pedalboard for practice at home and borrow a tnt130 for gigging

im thinking of buying the following rig off craigs list
Gator shallow rack 4 space case
w/ Furman M-8d
Yamaha bbt-500H
for $350

Fill in the extra space w/ an Aphex Aural Exciter C2
for $70

and play it through the PA @ home, and use this cab for gigs and rehearsal
a Hartke VX410
for $150

Total cost $570

What do you guys think? Help me out over here. I'm way over my head.

Interesting head choice, I have not seen many cabs that run at 2 ohm though, you gonna have problems with the Hartke cos thats rated 400w at 8 ohm, running at 2 ohm its gonna go bang methinks! Really need a head thats rated about 350W at 8 ohm, I believe Ashdown do one.

This is 575w, but at 4 ohm, at 8 ohm should suit that cab just fine.

Nice choice for a cab though, 400W should see you through most types of gigs for now.
