I'm using Fender nicklesteel medium gauge roundwound 6 string sets now, and I used to prefer GHS medium gauge pressurewounds on my 4 string basses, and I'd still be using pressurewounds on my 6 string if they made any 6 string sets, but they don't of course! Rolling Eyes

There's limited selection for 6-strings! And 5's for that matter.... Can't get flatwounds in town Sad.

I'll pop a string or two, but I can't get any decent speed slapping (It sounds good though, I know what you mean!). It's a shame, there's a Duran Duran song I want to play, guess I better learn to play fast.

Currently I have D'addario. I have a set of Elixers waiting to be put on for when I record my next album.

For my guitar I use GHS Boomers Zakk Wylde Lows.

I hear ya spiral, My BTB 405 is rocking D'Adario XL's... very nice!
I used to be into the Warwick Red label strings and some Smith Strings for my Warwick but all my Ibanez basses ever had were D'Adario

ernie ball? you are cheating yourself...... i only play elixir or DR black beauties. i play in drop c and the elixirs are the best there is. they will cost you more. but they last forever and are totally worth the extra bucks
