I am looking to make money in a cover situation this summer around Albany, NY due to the fact that I don't rely on originals at this time. This scene sux for original bands. I want to make $$$. I study music under a Berklee grad and am going to pursue studio music either down south or out west in a couple years. I have great equipment (two 7 string basses, New Mesa Boogie roadready Powerhouse 1000watt 4x10"/1x15" cabinet with attenuated tweeter horn. Basses are by Conklin Groove Tools. Anyways, as the guy that says he is sick on bass, I am great too but I don't have an egocentric problem and I have been playing for 13 years, can jam on any style and proficiently. I am starting to play Chapman Stick as well. I am drug free and to be professional, you can't have drugs in the mix so the bottom line is I want to be successful, not temporarily as you will have with drug abusing band members, but drug free responsible members!

You should come down to Louisville and play if you are concerned with having a crowd ready to accept original music. It makes no sense compromising your original music just because you think that no one will be ready for it. You should make your own scene, or travel just a bit, and get out of new albany, and make your way just 5 minutes across the river.
