I want to replace my pickups with the Seymour Duncan
SJB3 Quarter Pound Jazz Bass Pickup and the Seymour Duncan
SPB3 Quarter Pound P Bass Pickup . I was told by a guy at Guitar Center that these would not work because the Bass is an active pickup. He wanted to sell me a package of EMG's that came with the wiring and all.
My question is....Are the Basslines a direct drop in or do I have to rewire and all of that? Or are the EMG's the way to go? I want the Basslines, but if it is a big hassle i may just forget it.
