Just wondering whats Scales/modes you use for diff sounds/styles??? like if your trying to make something sound sound pink floydish dorian seems to be the way to go, just wondering if certain styles of music tend to use certain types of scales/modes, would be awesome to find out what you think!

Dont think so Steve. I think all songs are individual. I suppose blues uses a certain scale. I find i come across the minor scale the most when im learning songs etc.. I think Pink Floyd use all different types of scales. I watched a film on them and the pianist Richard Wright took scales and chords from a Miles Davis tune for a certain song on Dark Side of the Moon.....
