| Nope, local shop doesn't carry them. I haven't heard great things about them on the net, but I'd still use them. Low end strings still have their place (on my beater bass). |

| From what I could tell, they appear to be D'Addario XL's. I got a set from the free offer they ran in Bass Player mag. Feel and sound like XL's, and they have the different color ball ends just like D'Addario does. |

I have tried Hartke's, since they're cheap, but they didn't impress me. They sounded metallic and hollow. But then again my bass was not set up right. If D'Addario sound the same I am not going to buy any of those. Besides, colored ball ends are cheesy! _________________ I've recently done tons of reflecting on my life and have come to the realization that my life is awesome |

Hey,
i have used hartke strings i borrowed a freind music man stinger and he uses Hartke yes they are like the XL's but they have a slight smother toach and also when you play no mater where you play the string you always get a perfect round bassy sound or how ever you have you bass and Amp set up
