I've got an MIA Fender Jazz with a J-Retro, but I think I'm discovering that I'm not a Jazz fan. It's too trebly and middy, plus I don't like the hum.
Has anybody here played an Ibanez SR900? What do you think? |

Sorry about the no reply... and even sorrier that I haven't got anything to say about the SR900.
But I would simply suggest that you get out there and play one to see for yourself. And while you're at it, play a BTB model, maybe a Fender P, a yamaha, warwick, and even a musicman! Get an idea of what makes these basses sell. You will then be able to make an informed decision.
I personally play a BTB 406QM, but there are times when I'd give my left testie for a MusicMan stingray, or Fender P bass. I only know this because I have a thump on a bass that is not my own every week - the guys at the music shop near my house HATE it when I walk in, because they know I'm not going to buy anything unless they can offer me an Ibanez BTB that can sound like a MusicMan stingray with the groove capabilities of a Fender P...
You get the picture...
Try a few, then go with the one that feels right for the job! _________________ Alright!
