All the owner knows is that it's from the 70s. Anyone shed some light on the model?

Rickenbacker 4001. How much is it goin' for? *Holy Censor, Batman* nice bass. Although it looks like it's in sorta poor condition.

If I remember correctly, I saw this bass on ebay the seller was unsure if this was a copy or not. without more detailed pictures I would have to say that it is a Rickenbacker 4001.
It's a shame someone abused this once fine instrument.
