I could be wrong but I am pretty sure this is an Epiphone copy, not a Gibson but can anyone back me up or disagree?

From what I've been able to make out the Gibbo V-basses are rarer than hens teeth and had black pickguard, chrome tuners and "V-bass" on the truss rod cover rather than just "GIBSON".

Cheers man.

Yep, I sold it to a kid in Sunderland who was pleased with the deal so smiles all round, cos I put the money towards my 1972 Gibson EB3L which is the dog's bollocks. Very Happy

Yes it should have Gibson on the headstock, and V-bass on the truss rod cover

I've heard the the Gibson flying V bass is one of the worst sounding basses, along side of the SGZ. Pitty, I love the looks of the SGZ.
