Hey everyone, try this.....who's the most UNDERRATED bass players

once again i say *paul mccartney* because he hasn't recieved the attention he deserves in my opinion,, also *Matt Freeman* from rancid.....he deserves more attention, his lines are awesome, and he sure knows how to drive a song with his 60s sounding lead ins and last but not least *Duff McKegan* from guns n roses and velvet revolver....i was just listening to some guns and i was like woah, Duff's great

Well although I have many favorite bassist's, I can't quite make up my mind. It's between Jaco Pastorius or Victor Wooten. Those are the most influential in my bass playing and style. But just on the fun side of bass playing Duff McKagen plays very well also. It's in between the 3 of them.

I have a lot of favorites. If I had to pick one it would have to be Bootsy Collins.

Geddy Lee/ RUSH- John Entwhistle/ WHO- Flea/ RHCP-

Their various styles and sounds intrigue me and helped me become a bass player.

1.Ryan Martinie from mudvayne some of his stuff is crazy
2.Les Claypool from primus his slap pop stuff is out of this world.
3.Victor Wooten He Is awesome
4.Mat Freeman From Rancid Hes a cool guy met him a few times
5.Flea from RHCP

I would have to go with KB from Nonpoint right now. I know there are a lot of other great bass players out there, but he was the inspiration for the style in which i play today.

Victor Wooten... he is by far the baddest cat playing out there now i think...

The things that he can play on bass are amazing both in technical ability but also in feel and playing with soul. Marcus Miller is another amazing player alive today that needs props.

But overall I would have to say my Favorite bass player is Jaco, ....there was bass before Jaco, and then bass after Jaco. He came on the scene and just attacked the bass and made it sing!!
