I know. Great basses. It just seems idiotic to have an entire section of this board dedicated to a particular brand of instrument. Sarcasm.

Is Alembic really that good? It doesn't seem like anyone uses this board. Maybe the Admin plays one.

Alembic's are probably the most quality and nicest basses that are made. I have had the honor of playing a Series 1 and other than the weight of the bass it sounds and plays like a dream. You don't see them that much because they are really expensive.

Tone range is one of the things Alembic is noted for.

I was watching the Grateful Dead movie. Phil Lesh was showing off his Alembic. It was either a series 1 or 2. Anyway, he was going on and on about how he could get tons of different tones out of it.

I understand, I tried out a Series I at my local guitar store, and boy was it a blast. That thing could tear down the house.

Something like $8000, but I couldn't afford it. Too bad, it was a really nice bass.

I have been setting aside a little bit of money everytime I get paid so I can get a Series 1 or 2 Alembic. At the rate I am going it should be 1 more year until I get one. I can't wait

Wow I didn't realize that they were all going to be 2,000 - 10,000 dollar basses! That would take a while to earn the money.... hehe.
