| My own question is this: I have a 1983 Washburn Force 40, 4-banger with the standard issue P/J set up they used back then. I really like the tone of those 1980-1984 Washburns (I own several) but I want to convert one to a definite Jazz bass with punch. I don't mind the carving that will be needed, but for this I simply don't have enough experience with Jazz pups to know which will give a punch yet have a rich, phat tone. Don't care for Barts, EMGs. What---Nordy's, Fatstacks...??? Any insight is appreciated....the tone chase---whew-- |
