tell me about the Bass synth, I am not familiar with it, is it an effects box or like the Roland system that you mount on your bass?
what kind of sounds do you get out of it?

You run it like an effects pedal. It converts your signal to a number of different waves: sawtooth, square, fuzz, voice, a regular band pass filter or a variation of these.

You can run an expression pedal to run it like a wah, lots of fun. Maybe detune the signal afterwards, very synthy. This particular model has been discontinued for a few years. Its said to be one of the best "tracking" models (tracking is a common problem with bass synths, its a kind of unwanted warble in the signal)-though this is the only one I've ever had I can say it does track beautifully. The only one people say compares is the Akai model.

You can find clips floating around somewhere I'm sure.
