| Hey, I just bought a SVT3 pro and am awaiting the arrival of a 410 and 115 cabs, they should be here in a few days. The question that I have before I plug in and start doing anything stupid is, is the master volume controlled from the front master or at the back at the outpu? I'm a little confused by the manual that I got with it and would like to be able to set up and play. From what I read and researched I think that this should be a kick *Horse's Patoot* rig. I'm looking forward to any advise and input. |

| Well I got my cabs and played with the unit for over an hour to set it up. I found that the tube gain when turned all the way clockwise would sound a lot cleaner than all the way down, is this normal? I used some of the guidlines form the amp manual and I have all of the buttons pushed a nd the mid selector at 5 and man does this thing rock. I'm glad that I went with the 410 and 115 instead of the 810. I find the sound very full. |

Was watching a guy ram a Ricky 4003 thru an SVT and 8X10 stack last sat, man did that thing PUSH! I never realised 10 inch speaker could sound so good, not thin at the bottom at all. The only thing that put me off was that even with wheels on the bottom, it took two of us to shift it LOL! _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |

| That was the thing that made me shy away from the 810. The last band I was in I played guitar and the bass player had the SVT with the 810 and another cab with an 18 and that thing (810) would kill me. I'm not that young anymore and that was the reasoning for the SVT3 pro and the two seperate cabs. The 410 cab is not that light either being over 90 lbs, but still smaller and more mobile than the fridge. I'm looking forward to playing with my new rig next weekend, I just got back together with my old band and I used to play with an acoustic and a single 18 in it, and from my test run the other day the Ampeg blows it away. |

I've only got a little Laney half stack 1x15 and a 4x10, they weigh more than enough for me lol! _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |

| Back in the 80's I used to be the lead guitarist in a metal band. I used a Laney AOR 100 watt through a Marshall double stack, and that amp rocked. I would love to find another amp like it even though I don't need it. How much power does your Laney have? |

bout 360 watt with the 4x10 cab on, my guitarist puts out 50w thru a marshall valve head and 2x10 cab so mine is just about enough, plus the venues we play tend to be small enough for us to be asked to turn it down lol! _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |

| I giged last night with the new amp and took about half a set to rework the settings, but it sure rocked. At the end of the night the place was rocking and afterwards my ears where ringing. |
