| I plan on opening a music store in the future, so I'd like to ask everyone what they like in a music store, what makes you keep going back to the same one. The idea for me is to open a store thats as big as Cabelas is to outdoor stuff. |

Product and knowledge (and willingness to share said knowledge).
Simply, if a shop doesn't have the products and variety I'm looking for, I won't keep going back. The staff have to know what they're talking about and be able to pass on their knowledge without coming off as condescending too.
What products people will be looking for will, obviously, vary by the person looking :P |

knowledgeable and friendly staff are what keep me coming back, not to mention a "mom and pop" style of business and a true caring about the customer. Also, willing to accommodate the financial situation of a working musician is always a good thing. Corporate giants with *Horse's Patoot* clowns for employees (ex. GuitarCenter, MusiciansFriend...etc.) are my least favorite places and are slowly killing off the old American down town, but maybe thats just how i feel about it. _________________ "Excuse me Sir, but do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?"
