Hey there! I'm NEW to this BIG DOG web site! ITS GREAT!!!

I bought a fretless EBONAL fretboard. What can I expect with an EBONAL FRETBOARD??? Gonna play it with EMG pickups with the EMG BASS Enhancer... also got my hands on the STEINBERGER bridge system too?!?

Its hard and durable, and I think it has tonal qualities similar to ebony.

I just bought the new Squire Deluxe active V which has an ebonal fingerboard, it has a smooth silky feel to it, although it has the appearance of plastic it feels very nice, none of my other guitars have an ebony board so I can't really compare it to ebony, but it holds up well versus rosewood and is not bright sounding like maple. Although I am not sure how much of that is due to the active electronics, it feels very durable, I like it a lot.
