|
|
I am trying to put together my 69 EB3L. I need to find slot head tuners for it. I am not in need of originals but the mounting hole is 1/2" and most new ones are 9/16" or larger. Any ideas? Also I need wiring diagrams to guide me to rewire this with 2 humbuckers, 2 vol and 2 tone pots with a 3 way switch, like a Les Paul.
It is pretty beat up so I am not being critical, just want to make it a player.
thanks |

if it's a beater, have you considered drill out the holes to 9/16th ?
as far as the wiring diagram goes, any schematic for a two pickup 2 vol 2 tone and three way switch should work
this diagram might be helpful.

I'd be cautious about drilling headstock - its pretty weak as is, and I suspect enlarging the holes could cause more problems. I know its only a small enlargement, but the slotted headstocks are not Gibsons toughest.
I know its painful to wait, but be patient, and bid hard on the neck set on ebay. People do part out ebs with some regularity - just be there when they do it!
What slot head tuners have you seen that have 9/16" posts? If you drilled the holes would they definately fit? _________________ http://www.gibsonbass.com |
