the Dean Playmate EAB Acoustic-Electric Bass is 150 bucks and i just want to know if any one has experience with one. I just want a bass to play some acoustic stuff with a friend, so based on that would you suggest it?

Well, $150 is pretty dang cheap. If nothing else, it'll be good to have a beater around that you don't have to protect too heavily.
