| How hard is it really to replace a jazz pickup in my Charvel 3b bass? It's passive, so I'm thinking there's just a little sodering involved. I can't stand the humming anymore!!!!!! Help!!!!! |

brother go to guitarelectronics.com or to the seymour duncan website and print out the schematic for jazz pickups then get a 25 to 30 watt soldering iron and some 60/40 .031 solder.practice a little with the soldering -just hit the solder and iron tip on the pot and jack connections to spread that sugarlove heat and let it spread and you're done bingo. _________________ rock n roll never dies |

The hum is because it is a single coil pickup. It is part of the fun. My Rickenbacker 4001 hums all the time that is what they are suppose to do. _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses
