In a bass specialty store in Shibuya, Tokyo, I played on an interesting instrument by a maker I'd never heard of before, Daniel Fernandez.

The instrument was made in Argentina. Other than Fernandez's own website, I have been able to find next to nothing about this instrument on the web.

Has anyone here ever owned one? What are your thoughts?

I know the guy and his basses. I´ve had the chance to check several of his basses here in Argentina. They were extremely well crafted and he takes care of every single aspect of the instrument. Generally uses local / regional woods.

His work is becoming better known and usually sells his basses in the US through Lowend Distribution. Let me know if you need any further info.
