Help..how can i make a new groove or improve my style of playing? because i noticed everytime i pick up my bass it still sounds so dry and borring......

this is going to sound really, really boring and probably not the instant gratification you were seeking... but practice. practice, practice, practice. and tape yourself. save the tapes for a day or two so your jam is out of your head and listen to it as you were an observer - I find if I listen to my recording right after theyre recorded I dont have the same perspective as if I waited a day or two. You can then hear where youre lacking and improve on it. And if youre looking for groove, pick up on some old jazz or something and play some slow licks, putting al the feeling you can into as little notes as possible. hope it helps, cheers!
