I have an Ibanez x series 5 string was thinking of doing some serious mod work in the arena of trying to replace one of the single pickups with a double or a humbucker.
If anyone has any ideas with the pro or con let me know. Just trying to get a more disticnt sound out of her.

Houserat, before ripping into that bass, ever consider using any effects?
