I've been playin bass through a guitar amp for a while now, as I had to sell my bass amp Crying or Very sad

I really don't like the sound; yes it's fun to whack the distortion on for a bit, but ultimately the tone is awful! No fullness to it at all

It seems to really highlight any mistakes you make in terms of fluffing notes catching them too hard...sounds like a fart when you're a tiny bit too harsh hitting the note!

careful not to ruin your amp keep your gain/volume low, and dont over do it i have a crate guitar amp that is used as a stool that i sit on when i play bass through my bass amp, because it's wrecked from my bass.
just be careful.

There are no rules, I know people who've played through leslie's, guitar amps & built stuff to get the sound they want. Try not to do it out of neccessity. Do it for the sound. If it sounds cool - stick with it, if it limits you, move on.

Those 100 watt crates are ok for lower end stuff but I tell you what, I played a "gig" with it one time when I was at a party and I sat in with the band. I will say that the highs on it suck. Overall they don't have very good tone. But hey, that is solid state for you.
