I modded my trusty P when the frets became unusable after 27 years of playing (not bad wear, Fender), by having a luthier defret it. This gave me a new style to play around with. Naturally GAS dictated that I had to buy a fretted instrument also, so I got a 97 Jazz Deluxe active. Only mods being thumb rest and J bridge cover, 'cos I like the look.
