This thread idea was made me Greasy Lil over in the Show Yourselves thread... basically, post pics of your bass(es). This is a bass player's board, obviously we all want to see basses :)
Here are my three basses. The light balance in the photo is bad due to the obvious backlight, but there they are. (linked since the image would stretch the board)
Left to right: Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, Frankensteined Profile/Yamaha fretless P-Bass, Yamaha BBN5
Strings are DR Black Diamonds, d'Addario Chromes flatwound, Fender med/light, respectively. |

Argggghh right then. Here we go
My first bass....a 1994 Staus Shark 4 , Cherry wood body.
Next... early 80's Aria Pro 2 SB600 lined fretless
and then it goes on and on...
A tiny Ibanez Bean Bass MC888 DS.. Lovely bass and i would love another
1979-82 Ovation Magnum 3. Strange bass. Had a gain output for every string
An old 1970's CSL ( Ibanez ) Jazz, showing how small the Ibanez bean bass really is

Yamaha Motion B MB2. The best of the motion B series.
Had fine tuners at the bridge, like Kahler made for the
electric guitars. The other Motions never had them. Small,
like the Ibanez bean bass
My home built Jazz, with Bartolinis, and Aquilar OBP-3 onboard preamp.
Vinatge 900 series ( 940 ? ) Bubinga body. Very light.

Another 1980's axe, my TUNE BASS MANIAC. Lovely piece of kit.
Ahhhh...the gorgeous looking flagship Peavey Rudy Sarzo ( 1990 ). Big $$$$ when first built. Ceramic pickups
Most expensive bass, the OVERWATER STANDARD 1
(1984) and the most regrettable sale of a bass ever.
That, and my Ibanez bean bass comes a close 2nd

And currently..... 1980's neck through PB bass,
now with ESP precision pickup. In fact i have an identical
bass to this, which is being converted to fretless as i speak.
I'm considering fitting a pair of Dimarzio Model J's to the one in the photo.
Tercel neck through ( recently sold )
1970's Cimar / Ibanez Jazz , currently for sale on Fleabay

Yeah, poor. I got 2 basses, my starter for 10 Squier precision pro, and a Yamaha BB4 which I bought 2nd hand for a hundred notes. I love the tone, can't be arsed faffing around for another (plus the boss would kill me lol) _________________ Visit http://www.planetrock.co.uk/default.asp You KNOW you want to! |

That Gibby is a tad unusual....nice though
My fave Gibbys are the Triumphs - bassist from the now defunct " Cry of Love " band used a Triumph / SVT rig. Lovely sound ! _________________ Strung out on strings |
