yeah i love natural finishes on basses. The only bass i have that isnt is my 70's Ibanez Cimar Jazz. But i'll cure that !

Not had the P-bass that long, maybe a couple of months. Immediatley fitted the SD quarter pounder, new nut and GHS boomers. I've had the Tercel a lot longer, and is my fave out of the 4. Maple neck with rosewood stringrs and alder body. Its lighter than all the others, but has more beef .
It laso has a flatter raduis than all the others, which suits me and which i find easier to play.
I had that one fitted with a brass nut too as soon as i got it, plus a nice fret stone.

Fret stone = to get them all perfectly smooth and at the exact right height for the distance between them and the strings. The height of the strings being the " action " ( EG low action, high action etc ). I like low as poss, without buzzing.

Yup.. correct

But it was done by a pro, as all the custom brass nuts i have fitted are.

Are things getting clearer ? Laughing

The fret work + custom brass nut came to £55. That was a rather special price to me though, as the geezer is a friend. Probably more like £75 ( ish ).

But if you need any work done, let me know - we could meet up and i'll take you round to him. He's a NORF 'AMPTON bloke

Very Happy

I've decided to keep the P bass. Just couldnt do it. I love the Tercel too, and the 70's Jazz. But i'm gettin a big bill soon for the van. I'm maxed out on my credit cards so i've no choice. Something's got to go. The pre /power rig has gone, had enquiry about one of the cabs, i sold some pedals on Fleabay, and then theres the guitars too. Plus the dimarzio pickups.

Well the 4th bass is the twin of the P bass pictured, but fretless. Its having work done so its not on offer.

I never cry Cool
