| i have been wanting to buy a ripper for years and have only got the money up to do so and now i have seen all the allternatoves like the grabber and its g3 model im a bit confused what to get. the grabber is a good idea with the sliding pickup but ive seen a few fakes for sale,i dont like singel cole pickups and everyone says the g3 gives a sexy sound,im a bit worried about the grabber being a bolt on neck and its next to impossible to find a ripper.any help, suggestions and explanations would be great. |

I prefer the ripper
http://www.gibsonbass.com/ripper.php
its got more deep bass to it
The G3 has more snap, and a lot of people like that
What music do you play?
There are sound clips for all three basses at Gibsonbass.com
If its the ripper you want you should hold out for it. The good thing about these basses is they don't loose value (unless you overpay) so if you get a ripper and don't like it you can sell and buy the G3
I wouldn't get the Grabber - a little too limited soundwise, in my opinion _________________ http://www.gibsonbass.com |
