woah, big pics ...if only i had a higher resolution machine Very Happy

if i had to put a guess on it, i would say somewhere in the 70's. if it were me, i would take it to a trusted knowledgeable tech and at least have them check it out, if nothing else. i like that pic guard though, thats pretty sweet. keep us posted on what you find out.

yea I know its from around the 70's. (my dad had a band 70's-early 80's I found one of his set lists with a bunch of zz top on it heh) anyways my mom told me its just configured so he didnt have to use wires on stage I guess it should be a pretty simple fix then. (she also told me he made the pick guard and that it use to have a white one on it or something). I cant wait to get it working and start learning.

If I were to take a guess (which I am); I would say that's a Fender Precision neck on a custom body... Perhaps a factory body (that pickguard looks like it may cover the stock pickup hole and wiring routing). The pickups look to be a single standard split precision pickup set up as two individual pickups due to an incomplete bridge assembly (perhaps this is intentional??).

I assume that's the input jack hanging out the back... but it looks to be broken; both the white wire is broken off and needs to be soldered; but it also looks like the arm that contacts the tip of the plug is missing.

Taking it to a technician might not be a bad idea; but, granted that the rest of the wiring is right, if you buy a new jack, you should be able to just solder the wires to the right terminals and bolt it to the jack plate without much difficulty (if you know how to solder.
