Help, I have an AMpeg SVT III, not the pro, and run it into a 4x10 ampeg pro cab, I know the cab is good because it sounds killer with another bass head I have. I put brand new Electro Harmonix tubes in the preamp but I still have to turn the volume up on the head to about 3/4 to get it loud enough at the gig. the heads seems to distort real bad on low notes. I am running a Fender Jazz with EMG active pickups. Is this normal for this head? Any suggestions? Thanks
