I'm new to this forum.
The bass player I play with in a band with has a 1973 Bass Guitar. The logo on the head is Northern with a Red Maple leaf. It looks like a Fender Precission but has a Jazz style pickup instead of the split type. his brother bought it new in 1973 & he bought it off of him in 1986. It has a black satin finish, Solid Maple neck, Teley style control knobs, White pickguard, Feder P style tuning knobs. Very well made solid Bass.He is considerinmg selling it but dosen't have any info. on who actually made it. I checked around & can't seem to get any positive info. on it. I posted it for sale on a few sites & just made up a price to see if I could get any bites or information & have had some response but no real info. Would anyone on this site know anything about Northern brand instruments made in the 1970's . It is in excelent condition & he still has the original case. I'm not looking for an apprasial on it , just some info.
Can send a pic. if needed. |
