Hey ysasio,

I'm not sure if this will help, but perhaps doing some more "little" things with your right hand will help your coordination. Stuff like brushing your teeth, cutting your meat, etc.

Hope this helps,

I don't suppose it would be too late to trade it in for a left handed bass guitar, would it?

First of all, u should play the way u feel comfortable. cuz if ur not comfortable, u wont preform your best. Yes, if its not to much out of your way, its best to get a left handie. music teachers are the worst at letting you bend on this. my old teacher said, " Too bad, if ur left handed, tough luck, u'll just have to learn." which i thought was kinda harsh to my friend (which is the person she directed it to). but my new band teacher says, " Well its best to sit upright on the edge of your seat, u get the best air capacity(because i play trumpet). But i suppose everyone is different, so play sitting back in your chair, i dont want to mess with our playing capability." same with my friend, he plays sax. with his legs wrapped around the legs of the chair, and hes the best sax. player in the school.

hope it helped and i got kinda off the topic oops!,

Don't do it!
I was forced/persuaded to learn guitar R/H and it ended up being the main reason for a lot of frustration I was experiencing because of going against what is your natural tendencies. (re - on/off beat) it was great for reggae! - that's one thing?!
I'm not saying that none have been successful, there have probably been heaps of 'em?
And one would think because the fretboard hand generally has to do more work
it would be an advantage.
Just for me it was a constant source of frustration and later I found there were physical differences too, which I had never noticed when younger,
but were obvious if someone had bothered to check.
If you are ambidextrous, that's different.
Some music teachers and instruments and even situations, i.e. orchestral, are still totally biased toward the R/H, but a lot of good teachers now recognise the frustration felt by those who cannot adapt against nature.
But if you are a true leftie, I'd say buy a L/H guitar.
And good luck whatever you decide.

Well if you are Ambie dextix (or however the hell you spell it) then I would think that playing opposite hand would be kind of cool to learn. yet unless you really drill yourself on getting it down good you will always play better on the side you are most comfortable with. I would imagine that if I played left handed a train wreck would have better rythmn and licks than what I could put down.
