I play the Bass for a long time and I'd like to play like Flea also !!!
I thought joining Red Hot Chilli's would help, but they seem to prefer him.
I really don't know why. |

Flea is certainly a good role model to have. I have a question, though...
What are you going to do when you sound like Flea? The Red Hot Chilli Peppers already have a bass player, and while you work your guts out to figure out what he was laying down 10 years ago, he's gotten 10 years better still!
It's good to have a goal, but if you're open to suggestions, I would encourage you to take Flea's sound, and make something new out of it. Heaps of my heroes on bass have helped to shape me as a bass player today. I sound like about 8 bass players that I adore, but at the end of the day, I don't sound like any of them.
Moorcheba have a song that says 'Just be yourself...' And that's what I would suggest.
You can learn some Flea style riffs, but from there, create your own in the style you love so much. You'll kick yourself if you limit your ability to only on influence. _________________ Alright!
