I'm building my own jazz bass...on my other basses, I have active EMG pickups...this time I wanted to try something else....I was at a music store the other night and the clerk was telling me about Bartollini's and adding a preamp...I like a good punchy sound with some bottom to it too....anybody try something and liked it...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks!! |

I've got barts going through an EMG onboard on my Fender and I love it. Go to ebay and type Alembic right now there are a few jazz pickups for auction. these usually sell new for lilke 500 so its seems like a steal for 70 but I have no immediate experience with alembic jazz pick-ups _________________ Matthew VanEtten |
