| Hello again, I'm looking to next purchase a mid-range bass and have so far become rather drawn to Lakland and Tribute by G&L. So, I was wondering if any of you have had experience with either make and if so what you thought. Any help much appreciated, cheers. |

| I've had 2 tributes, an L-2000 and an L-2500 that I still own. Excellent bass for the price. Don't know about the other, but these are solid, have good tone, the necks(on mine) were straight and very playable. The only problem was a scratchy volume and tone pot. Hope that helps. |

I tried out a G&L Tribute and even bought it. I loved it in the store and when I got it home, I discovered why. It was almost the same guitar as my Jazz. I couldn't tell the difference between the two in the sound or playability. One of the reasons I was looking for another bass was to have access to a little different sound when I wanted it, so I ended up trading in the G&L for a Godin A4 that I really love. In fact, I can say that I'm satisfied with both. For now... _________________ Fender Jazz (Black w Round EB's)
