| SWR rules!! I have a 900s head, a bass350 head, a goliath 3 410 and a goliath 3 jr. 210. The gear always does the job, players love the tone, and it is sturdy. Any other users out there? Trust me, in 20 years I tried it all[Ampeg was the worst] and swr is the real deal.. |

I've got an SWR 4004 head that sounds good, but it has not been through much torture. I do still love my old (60s) Ampeg B-15. It's only got 30 watts, so it's good for the studio, or very small lounge gigs, but the tone is classic tube. It's the same type of amp that James Jamerson and Caol Kaye cut a boatload of hits using...warm---warm---warm, and syrupy...amp techs describe the tone as "lacy and detailed."
